Dave Markley started his love affair with the auto industry as a youth, taking his first position as the janitor for a Dodge Plymouth Chrysler dealership. Dave started from the ground up, working in every department within a dealership, including General Manager and Owner. Dave contributes his success in the automotive business to a hands-on approach and an ongoing persistence toward automotive profitability and excellence.

In addition to participating in 20 Groups and other programs while in the dealership, Dave’s career also includes: National Trainer for Autobytel.com; National Training Manager for Indian Motorcycle; and to date, he has conducted over 500 management training presentations and 20 Group meetings. His training, 20 Group moderating and consulting, have focused on Import and Domestic lines and Used Car Management, in dealership operations both metro and rural markets, as well as multi-store ownership. Additionally, he has led special Volkswagen and Mazda profit improvement projects for those manufacturers. Dave has excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills; you will find Dave listens well, is organized, looks for solutions, strives to get positive results from every meeting and is always available.

Dave holds degrees in Automotive Marketing and Business Management from Northwood University. His resume also includes positions as President of the Greeley Auto Dealers Association, National Dealer Council for Volkswagen, President of the local Kiwanis Club, National Ski Patrol, ROTC Cadet Commander, Greeley Independence Rodeo Stampede, Eagle Boy Scout, and more.

Dave, who is a Colorado native, lives in Greeley, Colorado and is married to his college sweetheart, Diane. They have one son, who is a University of Colorado graduate and an architect.
